Your filter name, camera values, all fifteen parameter values, your chosen background, and any image you pick as a backdrop are held in your browser’s memory and never transmitted. The PNG is rendered locally by your browser and saved straight to your device.

The only thing written to browser storage is your list of recently used background colours, kept in localStorage so it survives a reload. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

This site sets no cookies — not for analytics, not for anything else. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Product analytics come from PostHog, configured so that no identifier is stored on your device and no visitor profile is ever built. The identifier that groups events within a single page visit exists only in memory and is discarded when you close the tab, so return visits cannot be linked to earlier ones.

Nothing is scraped automatically from the page — no clicks, no form fields, no element text. Only this explicit list is recorded:

• Page views
• Which parameter was adjusted, and to what numeric value
• That a filter name was set — its character count only, never the text
• Background changes, randomisation, and resets
• Export events: aspect ratio, pixel dimensions, and whether a name and camera info were included
• Unhandled JavaScript errors, so breakage can be found and fixed

Requests are routed through this site’s own domain so that ad blockers do not silently break them. PostHog still receives your IP address, as every web server necessarily does, and uses it to infer an approximate location no more precise than a region. It is not used to identify you, and because no identifier is stored on your device, it cannot be used to connect this visit to any earlier or later one.

PostHog processes the analytics events above on servers in the European Union, acting as a data processor on our behalf.

Buy Me a Coffee receives nothing unless you actively click the coffee button and leave this site. The button’s icon is served from this domain, so simply loading the page reveals nothing to them.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers. There are no advertising or tracking networks on this site.

Where the GDPR applies, anonymous usage analytics are processed under our legitimate interest in understanding whether the tool works and which parts people actually use (Art. 6(1)(f)). Because no identifier is stored and no profile is built, the impact on you is minimal.

Aggregate event data is retained by PostHog under their standard retention policy and is not tied to any identifiable person.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In practice we hold nothing that can be traced back to you: with no account, no stored identifier, and no profile, we have no way to locate “your” data. If you would rather send nothing at all, any standard content or script blocker will stop the analytics requests, and the editor will keep working exactly as it does now.
